Richard Lee "Ric" Courtois of St. James passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at his home. He was 67 years of age.

Ric, the son of the late Bernard and Helen Boyer Courtois, was born November 5, 1947 in Cadet, MO.

He was united in marriage to Carolyn Lee Cates on June 7, 1969 at St. Clair, MO. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. To this union, three sons were born.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; three sons: Richard Matthew Courtois and wife, Miriam of Union, Mark Patrick Courtois and wife, Kathy of St. James, and Christopher Michael Courtois and wife, Richelle of St. James; two sisters: Billie Courtois of Potosi and Kathy Thompson and husband, Darrell of Potosi and 5 beloved grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Ric was a loving husband and father.

He worked as a route salesmen, and he retired from a supervisory position within the company. He loved his grandchildren. One could often see him around the community with his grandchildren. He along with his wife loved to attend their grandchildren's sporting events as well as other community sporting events.

Services
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, December 1, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James with Father Charles Pardee officiating. Pallbearers will be Knights of Columbus members.

Visitation for Mr. Courtois will be 6-8 PM Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Prayer Service will be at 5;30 PM Sunday at the Jones Funeral Home

Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. James, MO.

Memorials may be made to masses or American Cancer Society.
