Raymond William Bassford of St. James, Missouri passed away on November 28, 2014 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Raymond Bassford was 81 years, 7 months and 20 days of age.

Raymond Bassford was born on April 8, 1933 in Cook, Illinois to his parents: Clarence O. and Helen Roman Bassford.

Raymond Bassford attended the Graduate University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. majoring in Agriculture. He was an avid Mizzou Fan. He attended the Oak Grove Church in rural St. James, Mo. He served his country in the Army. Raymond lived all his life on a farm.

Raymond Bassford is survived by three brothers: Robert C. Bassford; Ronald S. Bassford and Thomas Bassford and wife Sheryl all of Columbia, Missouri; and one sister: Carole Brown of Hillsboro, Mo. Also 12 nieces and nephews.

Raymond Bassford is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence O. and Helen Roman Bassford; one sister: Doris Jean Spavale; and two sister-in-laws: Mary Lou and Mary Basford and one brother-in-law: Ronald Brown.

Services
Visitation for Raymond Bassford will be on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10 A.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. with Steve Helterbrand officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo.
