Rae Jean Hart of St. James, Mo. passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Oak Pointe Assisted Living in Rolla, Mo. She was 87 years of age. Rae Jean was born on May 16, 1931 in Owensville, Mo. the daughter of the late Zelma Richardson Aytes and Oscar Aytes.

She was united in marriage to Nelson Hart on August 16, 1953. He entered into rest September 26, 2006.

Rae Jean loved her family and friends and was an avid golfer and she was very proud of her 3 hole-in-ones. She enjoyed being outdoors and working with her flowers and ferns. Rae Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed her Sunday school class. Rae Jean will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Rae Jean is survived by daughters Vicki Hart of Lee's Summit, Mo. and Terri DeLuca and husband Dan of St. James, Mo., along with grandsons Dustin (Katie) DeLuca, Jeremy (Sara) Deluca; Dominic (Kristen) DeLuca as well as great granchildren Claire, Sohie, Jonas, Caden, Will, Addison and Elaina DeLuca all of St. James, Mo. Rae Jean is also survived by sister Bonnie (Richard) Hengstenberg of Owensville, Mo. as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rae Jean is preceded in death by her husband: Nelson Hart, mother: Zelma Ayes, father: Oscar Aytes, and brothers: Oscar Aytes Jr. and James Aytes.

Visitation for Rae Jean Hart will be conducted on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. with Stephen Brubaker officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.

Memorials are suggested to Phelps Regional Hospice or Juvenile Diabetes Association.
