Phyllis D. Boughan of St James, Missouri passed away June 11, 2024 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri surrounded by her family. She was 77 years of age.

She was born November 17, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles Hougland and  Carl and Emma Hougland Otto.

She is survived by her son, Darryl Borawski along with his significant other, Kimberly Terrill of St James, Missouri and one granddaughter, Courtney Borawski of Cottleville, Missouri along with other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband,  Everett "Lee" Boughan, and one son, Michael Borawski.

Phyllis loved cats. Cats to Phyllis were comforting and always seemed to be attracted to her. She enjoyed working with her hands to make special art projects, and she loved to sew. If you visited her home, you would see many of her projects that she had crafted and a few that were not quite finished. She gave many of her artwork to her family and friends along with her many sewing projects. She will be sadly missed for her quiet demeanor and on occasion her more rambunctious demeanor.

Graveside Services will be held July 12, 2024 at the Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery in St. Louis beside her beloved husband who entered into rest February 27, 2011. Pastor Brandon Hunter will officiate.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
