Pauline Gunter of Republic, Missouri formerly of St. James, Missouri passed away at the St. John's Hospital in Springfield on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Pauline Gunter was 83 years, 8 months, and 5 days of age.

Pauline Gunter was born on August 30, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to her parents: Sterling and Alberta Lucinda (Nail) Moreland. Pauline was united in marriage to Charles Eugene Gunter Sr. on August 14, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas. To this union two children were born.

Pauline Gunter was a devoted and loving wife; mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pauline Gunter is survived by one son: Charles E. (Charlie) Gunter Jr. and wife Joy of St. James, Missouri; one daughter: Lucinda Kay (Cindy) Burks and husband Jim of Republic, Missouri; one brother: Jack Crafton and wife Jean of St. James, Missouri; and three grandchildren: Edy J. Froelich, Katie Burks and Chaz Gunter.

Preceding Pauline in death are her parents: Sterling and Alberta Lucinda (Nail) Moreland; her husband: Charles Eugene Gunter Sr. on September 13, 2005; and one brother: Leroy Crafton.

Services
Visitation for Pauline Gunter will start at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, MO, with Jim Sutherlin officiating. Pallbearers will be family. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.

An Eastern Star Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
