Orla Edward Davis Jr. of St. James passed away suddenly at his home on June 10, 2011. He was 67 years and 14 days of age.

Orla Davis was born May 27, 1944 in Dade County, Mo., the son of the late Orla Edward Sr. and Lola Bird Davis.

On June 27, 1981 at the Flags Springs Church in St. James, Orla was united in marriage to Lillian Faye McDaniel.

Orla Davis is survived by his dear wife Lillian Faye Davis of St. James; sons: Charles Davis of Rolla, and Kyle Davis and wife Shyla of Mt. Dora, Florida; two daughters: Reta Mitchell and special friend Darren Schaefer of Belle, and Cheryl Bacon and husband Daren of Bland., one Brother: Virgil Davis and wife Shirley of Monett., two sisters: Eunice Minor ans husband Jay of Monett, and Rosella Marsh and husband Lloyd of Springfield, Mo., along with one sister-in-law: Joyce Davis of Joplin, MO., and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Orla is preceded in death by his parents, Orla Davis Sr. and Lola Davis, Son Timothy Davis, Sisters: Thelma King and Helen Finn, Brothers Calvin Davis, Leonard Davis and Bob Davis.

Services
Orla Davis will lie in state from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday June 13, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 14, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Douglas Lane officiating. Burial will be in the Skaggs Chapel Cemetery near Belle.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
