Nina Joyce Petty of St. James, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday night, November 27, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo. Nina was 88 years old. She was born in Holts Summit, Mo. on September 19, 1936.

Nina was the daughter of Louis Franklin Woolsey and Lois Herbert Davis Woolsey. In March 1956, she married Donald Gordon Petty of Mexico, Mo. and together they had 3 daughters.

Nina is survived by her three daughters, Julie Glass and her husband David of Aledo, Texas, Cynthia Behrens and her husband Bob of St. James, Mo., and Donna Hasen of Lake St. Louis, Mo. She is also survived by her Granddaughter, Amber Petty of Lake St. Louis, and Grandsons Brian Glass, Danny Glass, and Mark Behrens. She is further survived by her sister Jerri Hornkohl of Tullahoma, Tennessee. Nina was preceded in death by her brother Richard Woolsey and her sister Betty Brasure.

Nina loved her family and friends dearly. She was a devout Christian and attended the High Gate Baptist church since the 1960s. She loved animals. She was a talented equestrian and had many horses throughout her life. Her other interests were raising Hereford cattle and beefalos. She was a longtime member of the St. James Garden Club and enjoyed gardening.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Jones Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the family plot at the St. James Cemetery.
