Nancy Renee White passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, at University Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 79. Born on January 5, 1947, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of the Late Glenn and Dorothy (Walsh) Phelps. Nancy was a beloved member of her community whose kindness, commitment to her family, and vibrant spirit touched many lives.

Nancy’s journey began in the heartland of Iowa, where she was born and raised. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her roots, carrying with her the strong values and warmth that characterized her upbringing.

Nancy had a zest for life that shone through in her many interests and hobbies. In her younger years, she developed a deep love of horses and was an avid barrel racer, an endeavor that reflected her energetic spirit and dedication. Her passion for the outdoors remained a constant thread throughout her life. Nancy found joy in tending to her garden and took particular pride in watering her flowers, especially her cherished Blue Bell flowers, which added color and vibrancy to her outdoor sanctuary.

An enthusiastic sportswoman, Nancy was a devoted member of golf courses in both Rolla and St. James. Her enthusiasm for the game brought her much happiness and camaraderie. Nancy and Dennis shared a special bond through their love of bowling, often taking home high scores and making lasting memories together.

Family was always at the center of Nancy’s heart. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Dennis White of St. James, Missouri; her children: son, Jeff Broadaway and his children, Darah Broadaway of Missouri, Tiffany Broadaway of Missouri, Kyle Broadaway of Missouri, Howard Broadaway of St. James, Missouri, and Starla Broadaway of St. James, Missouri; daughter, Kelly Mitchell and husband, Brandon of Arlington, Texas; son, Charlie NcNeill of Chandler, Arizona and his children, Michael McNeill of Branson, Missouri and Ramsay McNeill of Arizona; son, Michael McNeill and wife, Kelli of Searcy, Arkansas and their children, Mitchell McNeill of Arkansas, Jacob Corpier and wife, Brittnay and Ian McNeill of Searcy, Arkansas; son, Casey Morris and wife, Melissa of Rolla, Missouri and their children, Shawn Morris, Alissa Morris, and Alysha Morris; daughter, Vicki White Davolt and husband, Brian Watt and their children, Colby, Parker, Conor, and Emeline; and daughter, Mellissa white Balkin and husband, Rick and their children, Abigail Balkin, Gabriela Balkin, and Isabel Balkin. Nancy's legacy will also be carried on by her twenty great-grandchildren. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Phelps Jr., and her sisters, Judy Zander and Patricia Keeran.

Nancy Renee White’s memory will be cherished by those who knew her as a devoted family member, a steadfast friend, and a vibrant community member. Her joy for life, love for the outdoors, and unwavering dedication to her family will be remembered always.

Celebration of Life will be announced.
