Obituary

Melvin Tom Hazelhorst passed away on March 8, 2012 at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James, Missouri. Tom was 66 years, 7 months, and 11 days of age.

Tom Hazelhorst was born on July 26, 1945 in Jefferson City, Missouri to his parents: Martin H. and Helen Marie (Kelling) Hazelhorst.

Tom attended St. Peters Parochial School and Helias High School in Jefferson City, Mo. As a teenager he was a bicycle messenger for Western Union. He was later employed by International Shoe Co.; Yellow Cab Company and Daniels Internation. He was also self employed. Tom was inducted into the US Army during the Veitnam conflict.

Melvin (Tom) Hazelhorst is survived by one sister: Karen Porter of Jefferson City, Mo. and one half-brother: Mitch Foster and wife Sylvia of Sedalia, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tom Hazelhorst in death are his parents: Martin H. and Helen Marie (Kelling) Hazelhorst; two brothers: Gene and Farrell Hazelhorst.
