IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Edwin House
August 31, 1944 – March 2, 2025
Max Edwin "Eddie" House of St. James, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri. He was 80 years of age.
Eddie, the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Bonham) House, was born August 31, 1944 in Rolla, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Lois Niemeier on May 5, 1984 in St. Louis County.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Lois House of St. James, Missouri; his daughter, Angie Nappier (Roger) of St. James, Missouri; his brother, Jimmy House (Ellen) of St. James, Missouri; his sister, Jeannie Auxier (Sam) of Rolla, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Max Nappier and Drew Nappier.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Martha Claus and Cathy Wallace; and his brother-in-laws, Tom Claus and Dale Wallace.
Eddie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He embraced life with fervor as he pursued adventures that could match his love for speed. Through the years with his stock car #42, he sped around many race tracks pushing himself and his car for a win of a lifetime. He and Lois traveled all over the states with his 68 Olds 442s racing on the Nostalgic Drag Racing circuits. As well, Eddie was not only lured by fast driving cars, but he also loved fast boats. He enjoyed racing over beautiful waterways, whether it be water skiing or slicing through the water in a speed boat. Speed, fast boats, and fun led him and Lois to sunny Miami to participate in Poker Runs to Key West. He loved his sporting events and the competition that went along with them, but even more, he loved and cherished his family. He loved outdoor gatherings that centered around spending time with Lois, Angie, Roger, and especially his grandsons, Max and Drew. He loved catching up with his grandsons and hearing about their latest pursuits in life. When time allowed, he enjoyed gathering with friends at Mutley's and having a good time. Many, of his friends that knew Eddie well, were well acquainted with a few of his favorite things. Two of his most favorite things, were his wife, Lois and his favorite song, "Dancing In The Dark." May our memories of Eddie remind us of his adventurous spirit and the way that he embraced every moment with a smile.
