Mary Ann Earhart (nee Powell) passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was 82 years, 11 months and 14 days of age.

Mary Earhart was born on March 9, 1929 in Springfield Missouri to her parents: Dr. George M. and Ruth Bray Powell,

Mary Earhart is survived by her sons Stephen (wife Beatrice) Earhart and James Earhart; granddaughters Stephenie (husband Rodney) Scarborough and Megan (husband Dan) Froemling; great-granddaughter Lea Scarborough; sister Martha Lou Mitchell; brother Mac Powell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Earhart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Earhart is preceded in death by her parents: Dr. George M. and Ruth (Bray) Powell.

Mary Ann moved to St. James in 1942 and graduated from John F. Hodge High School in 1948. She was a member of the St. James Christian Church until she moved to Bentonville, Arkansas in 1983. She moved to St. Louis in 1986 where she was a member of Kirkwood Road Christian Church. She was responsible for creating Cards in Christ ministry at Kirkwood Road Christian Church - a ministry to encourage others with cards and notes. Mary Ann enjoyed working with children and had many jobs caring for children.

Services
Funeral service were held Saturday, December 3 in Kirkwood, Missouri where she was honored by family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on March 10, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. James Cemetery with Steve Barber officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery.
