Martin Harry Hencken passed away at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James, Missouri on Monday, March 17, 2008. He was 80 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age.

Martin was born on January 5, 1928 to his parents Henry and Louise (Sudmeyer) Hencken in St. Louis, Missouri.

Martin worked at Famous-Barr in St. Louis for many years where he retired from. He served his country in the Korean War. He was a resident of the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James, Missouri.

Martin is survived by his sister: Lois Ann Hencken of St. James, Missouri; several cousins; and friends: John and Adelia Welch of St. James, Missouri.

Services
Visitation for Martin will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Schanbacher officiating. Lori Garver will sing Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross. Graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Bethlehem Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
