Marjorie Ellen Tessaro,” Margie” of St James, Mo, passed away on September 23, 2026 at the age of 63. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margie was known for her kind and caring heart and her love for her family and friends. She cherished the time she spent with her loved ones and was blessed throughout her life with many special friendships. Her family was very important to her, and she took great pride and joy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Margie is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Tessaro, of the their home in St James; her children, Jeremy Birkner and wife Becky of Cuba MO, Aaron Birkner and wife Kristen of Farmington MO, Tim Tessaro of Norfolk VA, and Jenn Griffin of Fenton MO; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Mindy Bassett and husband Kent of Dixon MO; her beloved sister-in-law, Corinne Chambers of Steelville MO, who became a true sister and dear friend; her bonus mother, Ellen Chambers of Huntington Indiana; along with several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, bonus brothers and sisters, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Chambers; her mother, Donna Turnbough Harper; her bonus fathers, Ercie Turnbough and Charles Harper; and her brother, Jimmy Chambers.

Margie will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and love for those around her. She leaves behind many cherished memories and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her memory and the love she shared will continue to live on in those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be 12 Noon - 1:30 PM  Monday, September 28, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2026 with Bro. Mick Thrasher. Pallbearers will be Aaron Birkner, Jeremy Birkner, Landon Birkner, Mason Birkner, Logan Birkner, and Jackson Birkner. Burial will be at Meramec Hill Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
