Marjorie Agnes Spurgeon passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Golden Living Center - St. James in St. James, Mo. Marjorie Sprugeon was 91 years and 15 days of age.

Marjorie Spurgeon was born on October 17, 1920 in Meta, Missouri to her parents: Rainey and Thelma (Crum) Ricker. Marjorie Ricker was united in marriage to James Anderson Spurgeon on March 30, 1941 in High Gate, Missouri.

Marjorie Spurgeon was a librarian for fifteen years. Marge enjoyed gardening, genealogy, cooking her church and family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed one great-granddaughter and eight great-grandsons, other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whom she touched.

Marjorie Spurgeon is survived by three daughters: Thelma Jean Mannino of Scottsdale, Arizona; Eldora Waring of Overland Park, Kansas; and Mary Ann Tegeler of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother-in-law: Homer Barnhart of Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Along with a host of extended family and friends.

Marjorie Spurgeon is preceded in death by her parents: Rainey and Thelma (Crum) Ricker; her husband: James Anderson Spurgeon on December 9, 2001; two son-in-laws: Al Mannino and John Tegeler; and one sister: Jean (Dickson) Barnhart.

Services
Visitation for Marjorie Spurgeon will be from 5 -8 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Private graveside services will be conducted Sunday, November 6, 2011 with Douglas Lane officiating.

Memorials may be made to the High Gate Baptist Church, 24175 County Road 450, St. James, Mo., or a charity of your choice.
