Margaret (Madge) M. Busby, 80, of St. James, died in her sleep Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Pilkenton Residential Care.
Margaret was born January 6, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Zella Mae (Geisler) Windsor. She attended St. Louis public schools and graduated from Soldan High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to James D. Busby of St. Louis in September 1954. To this union were born three sons, James D. Busby, Jr, Paul N Busby, and Daniel John Busby. Margaret later got her LPN license and worked at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis until she retired in 1991 when she moved to St. James to be closer to her family. She then came out of retirement and went to work at the St. James Veteran's Home until 1997 when she again retired, this time for good, to have more time with her family and her hobbies of crochet, knitting, reading.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and both her older siblings, Ted N. Windsor, and Helen (Windsor) Cornell.
She is survived by all three of her sons, James David Busby Jr. and wife Larkin of Bland, Missouri; Paul N. Busby of Fayette, Missouri; and Daniel John Busby and wife Patricia of St. James, Missouri; by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services
To honor Margaret's wishes, there will be a memorial/celebration of her life later this Spring at the family farm near Redbird, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home, in St. James, Missouri.
