Obituary

Loretta Mae Glenn of St. James, Missouri passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Monday, May 7, 2007. She was 82 years, 11 months, and 18 days of age.

Loretta was born on May 20, 1924 to her parents: Arthur Ernest and Lydia (Drewell) Gray. Lorettta was united in marriage to Robert Harold Glenn and to this union two children were born.

Loretta was a very active person who always provided for her family. After her husband died, she had many jobs and sometimes several jobs at once. Being home with her children as they were growing up, she was commissioned to be the dispatcher of the St. James Police and Utilities. She was known by many in St. James as a seamstress, which she was currently doing. She was a Nurses Aid at the Missouri Veterans Home for 12 years, she had a paper route and for several years she worked at the St. James Library. She loved flowers, sewing, and animals especially her dog Toby.

Loretta is survived by one daughter: Sandra Reed and husband Ron of Vichy, Missouri; one son: William Glenn and wife Jackie of St. Louis, Missouri,grandson: Andy and wife Stephanie of Moberly, Mo., and granddaughter: Kimberly and fiance: Clayton of St. Louis; step-grandsons: Jon, Ronnie Jr., and Scott and wife Karen; step-great-great-grandchildren: Colby, Ashly, and Katelynn along with several nephews and nieces. Loretta will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Loretta in death are her parents: Arthur Ernest and Lydia (Drewell) Gray; her husband: Robert Harold Glenn in 1963; four brothers: Adrain, Audrey, Ausburn, and Austin Gray; and one sister: Lorraine Keim.

Services
Visitation for Loretta will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services for Loretta will be conducted on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Brother Dennis Gray officiating. Pallbearers will be Darin Boggs, David Gray, Brian Gray, Andy Glenn, Ronnie Reed Jr., and Jon Reed. Honorary Pallbearer will be Scott Reed. How Great Thou Art and Good Night Down Here Good Morning Up There will be sung by Lori Garver with Charlet Hemme at the organ. Burial will be in the family plot in the St. James Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Tri-County Humane Society.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
