Leonard Fikar Jr. of St. James, Mo. passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home. Leonard Fikar Jr. was 75 years, 3 months and 27 days of age.
Leonard Fikar Jr. was born on August 9, 1939 to his parents: Leonard H. Sr. and Marie Ethel Glazer Fikar in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.
Leonard Fikar Jr. was a police officer and worked in the law enforcement for many years. He worked for the St. Louis City Fire Department from 1963 to 1970; the St. Louis City Police Department from 1970 to 1977; the Salem Police Department from 1979 to 1993 and was working at the Licking Prison from 1997 to Present. Leonard was a loving husband; father; and step-father. Leonard will be greatly miss by all who knew and loved him.
Leonard Fikar Jr. is survived by his wife: Mary Carol Gallagher Shutka Fikar of St. James, Mo.; three sons: Robert Fikar of St. Peters, Mo.; Randy Fikar and friend: Janet Klefisch of Arnold, Mo.; and Richard Fikar and wife Karen of Valley Park, Mo.; two daughters: Ruth Ann Hults and husband David of Belgrade, Mo.; and Robyn Pease and husband Terry of Cadet, Mo.; Step Children: Andrea Maxwell and husband Marvin of Rolla, Mo.; September Stringer and husband Dave of Baden, Pennsylvania; Margaret Ries and husband Jeffery of Springfield, Mo.; and Jerrie Kaye of Kentucky; one sister: Mary Clark of Mauston, Wisconsin.
Preceding Leonard Fikar Jr. in death is his parents Leonard H. Sr. and Marie Ethel Glazer Fikar; one son: Ricky Fikar in 1964; one step-son: John McNeill and one brother: Charles Fikar on October 14, 2010.
Services
Visitation for Leonard Fikar Jr. will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2010 from 12 noon to 2 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo. with Gary Bartle officiating. Songs will be: Closer Walk With Thee; and Go Rest High On That Mountain.
In lieu of flowers the family request Memorials to be made to: Cancer Research.
All arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
