Leo Alexander Evans, the precious baby boy of Steven (Ryan) and Whitney Evans, entered into the kingdom of heaven on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO. He was 10 weeks of age.

Leo was born June 14, 2022 in Rolla, MO. Leo enjoyed being in Mommy and Daddy's sunflower garden, walks in the morning with Daddy, catching fish with Mommy and swinging with Grandma. Hanging out with his big brothers and cousin Braxtyn was often a highlight in his day. Leo was such a happy baby, and nothing could make him laugh more than saying "yay" and clapping his hands, or Sophie the Giraffe.

Leo is survived by his mommy and daddy, Ryan and Whitney Evans and his big brothers, Eli and Jackson of St. James, MO; maternal grandparents: Bill and Connie Laney of St. James, MO; paternal grandparents: Victoria Evans-Heitzler of Springfield, MO and Bill and Alice Evans of Union, MO; Aunts: Maggie and husband, Chuck Butler; Susan Brueggemann; Lena and husband, Travis Jackson;  Uncles: Jeremy Laney and wife, Tracy; Jeffrey Laney; and Gregory Heitzler; Cousins: Braxtyn Crider, Lorelai Laney, Emilighn Laney, Paislee Heitzler, Lillian Butler, Cordell Butler, Charles Butler, and Ann Louise Jackson as well as great aunts and uncles, a host of cousins and family friends.

He was greeted in heaven by his great grandparents: Bill and Kathleen Rinehart, Louis and Jessie Laney, Cleston and Eleanor Evans.

Public Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. James, MO. Pallbearers will be Braxtyn Crider and Gregory Heitzler.
