Lawrence Lee Clark of St. James, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his home. He was 81 years of age.

Lawrence, the son of the late Emil and Mildred Jones Clark, was born December 22, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Holman on July 9, 1966 in Rosati, Missouri.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Mary of St. James, Missouri; three sons: David Lee Clark (Tina) of House Springs, Missouri; Lawrence Lee Clark, Jr. (Nichole) of St. James, Missouri; and John Daniel Clark of Maplewood, Missouri; two daughters, Rachel Barbour (Rob) of Arnold, Missouri and Regina Marie Townsend; three brothers, Robert Clark, Joe Clark, and Jimmy Clark; three sisters, Linda Lewis, Lisa Tucci, Kay Alexander, eight grandsons; five granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Lee Ross, sisters Loretta Cutler and Reta Maguire and brothers Eddie Clark and Kenny Clark.

Larry was ordained a Deacon on June 6, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri and served at Immaculate Conception in Maplewood, Missouri until he retired from gainful employment and moved to St. James, Missouri where he was assigned to the Jefferson City diocese and continued to serve at Immaculate Conception and St. Anthony in St. James and Rosati.

He served as a police officer for 30 years, worked in several different municipalities and performed as a patrolman, detective, fire and arson investigator, and assisted the Major Case Squad on occasion.

Retired from the police force in 2000 and after recovering from bypass surgery, he began working for the St. Louis County Court system as a bailiff until retirement in 2012 to the farm life in St. James, Missouri.

Larry enjoyed floating the Bourbeuse River to fish, playing golf with family and friends, driving golf balls at Tower T, and bowling.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2025; the Prayer Service will be at 5:30 PM.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 11, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church in St. James, Missouri with celebrants, Msgr. Gregory Higley and Rev. Patrick Dolan. Pallbearers will be John Clark, David Clark, Robin Barbour, Larry Clark, Robert Clark, Joe Clark, and Jimmy Clark. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Rosati, Missouri.
