Judith A. Lean, 81, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026. She was born July 22, 1944, in Stockton, Missouri, to Athel and Gladys Morrison and graduated from Stockton High School. She was an only child.
Judith spent most of her life in Stockton, Missouri, before moving to St. James, Missouri, where she resided for the past 20 years.
Judith was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. She was known for her fun and witty personality and her ability to bring laughter to those around her. Judith enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, and sharing time with loved ones. Her loyal dog, Rascal, who was her beloved companion for 17 years, held a special place in her heart.
Judith dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Division of Family Services, where she helped and supported many families throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Athel and Gladys Morrison, and her beloved dog, Rascal.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Burchett and his wife Tammy, and Becky Sawyer and her husband Tomas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Ragland, Mason Ragland, Brittany Schroeder and her husband Curtis, and Kayelea Burchett and her partner Jacob.
She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Kane, son of Brittany and Curtis, and Eleanor, daughter of Kayelea and Jacob.
Judith will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and deep love for her family. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
