John Joseph Hunter IV Joined his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home in Salem, MO. He was 58 years old.

John, the son of John Joseph and Wanda Fay Duncan Hunter III, was born January 29, 1959 in Rolla, MO. He was united in marriage to Rita Fay Bobbit on July 22, 1995 in St. James, MO.

John is survived by his wife, Rita Fay Hunter of Salem Mo.; his mother, Wanda Fay Hunter of St. James MO. His two daughters: Rebecca Fay Bridges and husband, Malcolm of West Plains, MO and Felicia Renee Studeny and husband, Allan of Bourbon, MO; his three sons: Carson Tyler Hunter and fiancé Kristen Chambers of St. James MO , Christopher Michael Hunter of ST. James Mo, and James Frederick Wasson and companion, Desirae Hickernell of Salem, MO; his two sisters: Karen Brazzil and her husband Steve of St James Mo, and Connie Sievert and husband, Mark of Columbia, MO and his brother, Robert Allen Hunter and his fiancé Sandra of St James Mo.

John is preceded in death by his father, John Joseph Hunter III, and many other's.

John was a proud member of Winkler Baptist Church, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather of 15 grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, and repairing cars. Also working around the home and in the yard with his wife Rita, and spending time with children, and many grandchildren. He worked at Manchester Package as a supervisor for 24 years. John is loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will  6-8 PM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, June 9, 2017 at Winkler Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Lea officiating. Burial will be at Ozark Hills Memorial Garden in Rolla, MO. Pallbearers will be Brent Booker, David Booker, Louie Henry, Drew Friede, Ed Carter and Brandon Berry.

Memorials may be given to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
