Jerry Wayne (Clem) Hanks of St. James, Missouri passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 in Sullivan, Missouri. He was 58 years of age.

Jerry, or Clem as he was known by his family and friends, was born May 2, 1967 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Jerry Albert (Pug) and Jettie Watson Hanks.

He is survived by his mother, Jettie Hanks of St. James, Missouri; sons, Dylan Hanks of St. James, Missouri and Dalton (Paige) Hanks of Rolla, Missouri; daughter, Delanie (Dakota) Hagenhoff  of St. James, Missouri; brother, Paul (Cheryl) Hanks of Rolla, Missouri; sister, Tina (Mike) Woolf of Salem, Missouri; and 5 grandchildren, Sawyer, Memphis, Wrenley, Jocelyn, and Xylan.

Clem is preceded in death by his father; great nephew, Samuel Skinner; and niece, Britney Hanks.

Clem was an over the road truck driver for 27 years. He was very tender hearted and always willing to helps others. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Camping was one of his favorite hobbies; while camping, he loved to hooters chicken. He would plan to cook for just his crowd, but he would end up having enough for several crowds. Clem had several old cars that he liked to work on; he was also known to tear them apart just to have something to do. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation for Clem Hanks will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with William Drew officiating. Pallbearers will be Dylan Hanks, Dalton Hanks, Dakota Hagenhoff, Paul Hanks, Trenton Hanks, and Jeremy Stites. Burial will be in the family plot at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri.
