Jared Blake Copeland of St James, Missouri passed away suddenly, at his home on Monday evening, December 23, 2024. He was 37 years of age.

Jared Copeland, the son of Bill and Diane Copeland, was born January 20, 1987 in Rolla, Missouri.

Jared Copeland is survived by his parents Bill and Diane Copeland of St James; brother, Travis Copeland  and wife, Melinda and their five children: Amber, Megan, Michael, Joseph, and Campbell of St James, Missouri; sister, Heather Timmerberg and husband, Brady and their three children: Laney, Kiley , and Eli of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Nicole Morris and husband, Craig and their two children, Paige and Brock of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Cameron Copeland and wife, Grace of Springfield, Missouri; special friend, Brandi Hobson as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Beatrice Copeland and his maternal grandparents, Herman and Esther Zimmer.

Jared embodied honesty, kindness and a caring nature that truly made the world a better place. He was sensitive, sharing, generous, loving and family oriented. He worked many years in the restaurant business before taking a position in an independent supported living home. While working as a manager, he discovered his true passion in life, helping people and caring for those in need. He has since been assisting foster children that need elevated support in a multitude of ways. Jared began his journey with Restoring Hope in the Fall of 2023, and he worked his way up quickly to be Restoring Hope's program manager. In January, he was going to be the director of a new home that Restoring Hope was opening in the Rolla area.

Jared was a very talented, self-taught musician; he enjoyed playing music in his free time. He has been playing guitar and bass for over 20 years. He loved playing video games and spending time with his close-knit family and friends whenever possible. He enjoyed making us all laugh, and we will miss him dearly.

Visitation for Jared Copeland will be held 4-8 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Jones Funeral Home in St James, Missouri.

Prayer Service will be held at 4 PM Sunday at the Jones Funeral Home; Deacon Chad Lewis will be conducting the prayer service.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Pat Dolan.  Pallbearers will be Cameron Copeland, Jordan Damewood, Craig Morris, Travis Copeland, Doug Baker, and Brady Timmerberg.  Burial will be in the Wishon Cemetery in St James, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to the family.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St James, Missouri.
