Janice Lorraine Wagner Branson, 74, of Vienna, Missouri died on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at University Medical Hospital in Columbia, MO.

She was born Thursday, March 31, 1949, in Vienna, MO, the daughter of Alfred and Pauline Leach Wagner.

She was united in marriage to Donald Branson on April 12, 1986 at the United Methodist Church in Vienna, Missouri.

Janice is survived by her mother, Pauline Wagner of Vienna, MO; brother, Owen Wagner (Beverly) of Linn, MO; sisters: Janell Henry of Saint Joseph, MO, Jane Honse (Wesley) of Vienna, MO, and Janet Johnson (Eric) of Rolla, MO; brother, Everett Wagner (Debbie) of Vienna, MO; nieces and nephews: Kyle Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Katelyn Johnson Moreland, Rachel Johnson, Jennifer Wagner Massman, Crystal Wagner Williams, Angela Wagner, Julie Wagner, Joshua Wagner, Shayna Henry Jackson, Greta Koch Hager, Sara Koch Giles, Andrew Koch, Christine Waterman Gobble, Benjamin Waterman, Randall Wagner, and Jason Wagner; three step-grandchildren: Ryan Goforth, Rodney Goforth and Dalton Giancola, and step-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Goforth and Alexis Goforth.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Wagner; husband, Donald Branson; and sister, Joanne Waterman-Rios.

Janice was a teacher all of her life. She graduated high school from Maries R-I in Vienna and graduated with a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Business Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia.  She taught business classes in Union, MO. After retiring, she was extremely active in the Ford Falcon Club, and she stayed very active with quilting. Throughout her life, she was a member and held many positions in the Eastern Star over 49 years. She was a member of the First Family of Missouri, the Mayflower Society and Daughters of the American Revolution.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at United Methodist Church, 1102 Hwy 63 N, Vienna, MO.

An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Vienna, MO.

A visitation will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Vienna, MO.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday,  June 10, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Vienna, MO with Pastor Larry Sorrells officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Randy Wagner, Tyler Johnson, Jason Wagner, and Joshua Wagner. The interment will be in Rader Cemetery, Vienna, MO. Memorials may be made to the Rader Cemetery; cards will be available at the church.
