Jackie Lee Sansoucie of St. James passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO. He was 75 years of age.

Jackie, the son of the late John Anthony and Lillie Mae (Gough) Sansoucie, was born November 5, 1947 in Mineral Point, MO. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Hemme on July 7, 1972 in Vienna, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of St. James, MO; three daughters: Christina Lee Sansoucie of St. James, MO; Joyce Ann Christeson of St. James, MO; and Penny Dale Curtner of St. James; three brothers: Clarence Sansoucie of Lebanon, MO; John Edward Sansoucie and wife, Paula of Vienna, MO; and Gary Allen Sansoucie and his wife Shirley of Lebanon, MO; two sisters: JoAnn Jurrens and husband, Douglas of Wheatland, MO and Judy Sansoucie of Lebanon, MO; twelve grandchildren: Jordon Sansoucie, Taylor Hopper, Monica (Sansoucie) Carter, Kayleigh (Curtner) Bryant, Dalton Curtner, Tory (Hopper)Diedrich, Holly Parsons, William Curtner, Dylan Hopper, Chase Curtner, Milo Christeson and Kelsie Christeson and twelve great-grandchildren: Caiden Melton, Sierra Sansoucie, Jersey Curtner, Ryder Sansoucie, Camryn Melton, Alana DeShirley, Emmett Bryant, Gracie Bryant, Kolton DeShirley, Hayden Carter, Riaha Carter, and Adalyn Diedrich.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jackie M. Sansoucie who passed away on November 25, 2015.

Jackie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a logger in the timber business with George Watson in Phelps County. He loved fishing in the Osage and Gasconade Rivers; he also enjoyed deer hunting. He spent his leisure time listening to the radio or watching the news.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Bartle officiating. Burial of the ashes will be following the Memorial Service at Skaggs Chapel in Belle, MO.
