Ida Lee Goldie Ledbetter of St. James, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her home. She was 86 years of age.

Ida, the daughter of the late Walt Niedringhaus and Martha Barbara (Woolsey) Rapart, was born May 29, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Frank Ledbetter.

Ida is survived by her daughters, Cindy Volluz and husband, Carl Shoemate of St. James, Missouri; Sandra Gale of Greenville, Missouri; and Sherry Gale of St. James, Missouri; step-son, Tony Ledbetter of Florida; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Ledbetter; and great-grandson, Kaden Disser.

Ida was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved celebrating holidays and special events with her family. She cherished her grandchildren; she enjoyed visiting with them and hearing about their latest accomplishments and interests.

She was an avid sports fan. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the former St. Louis Rams.

Early in her career, she was employed at McDonnell Douglas working on F-15 aircrafts and key punching in the computer department. After moving to St. James in 1975, she worked for Sid Pearson as a paralegal, and later, she worked for Legal Aid and Grellner Sales & Services, Inc.

Memories filled with Ida's loving kindness and spirit will be treasured by her family and friends in the years to come.

A Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 22, 2025 at St. James Cemetery with Ronda Woolsey officiating.
