Hubert Eugene Roark of St. James, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Cedar Pointe Care Center in Rolla, Missouri. He was 79 years of age.

He was born Thursday, May 11, 1944 in St. James, Missouri. the son of the late Raymond Leonard and Beatrice Hicks Roark.

Surviving are daughters, Sarah Jane  DeClue of Rolla, MO and Penny  Lynn Roark of Cuba, sisters, Oma Lavern Picker of Belle,  and Sharon Lynn Valley of High Point, ; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Viola Rose LaRue, brothers, Marvin Newman Roark, Charles Ray Roark, Farron Eugene Roark and Roger Dale Roark.

Hubert Roark grew up in the St. James area. When he was in second grade his dad took him out of school to help cut wood. He continued cutting wood for 46 years. He retired from Boys Town and was the Wagon Master in 1986. He loved the great outdoors and loved Horses. Many weekends were spent riding horses with the family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He and his beloved wife Susan's ashes will be interred in the Flag Springs Cemetery on June 10th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Gene Roark will officiate.
