Hazel Marie McIntosh of St. James passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Oak Pointe Assisted Living Center in Rolla, MO.  She was 97 years of age.

Hazel, the daughter of the late Roy and Minnie Carter Beeman, was born June 30, 1925 in Phelps County, MO. She was united in marriage to Ben L. McIntosh on July 12, 1958 in St. Louis, MO.

Hazel is survived by her son, Bryan McIntosh and wife, Kathleen of St. Charles, MO; daughter, Joy Hicks and husband, Dennis of St. James, MO; three grandchildren: Erica Bailey, Justin Sanford, and Benjamin Sanford; and great grandchildren: Keylee, Kynzlie, and Kaleb.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben L. McIntosh who passed away February 16, 1974; three brothers: Clarence, Alfred and Jim Beeman; and three sisters: Olive Isgrig, Lena Breuer, and Gladys Crain.

Hazel was a kind, loving mother, grandmother and friend; she loved to spend time with her family celebrating holidays and family events. She enjoyed quilting, painting, and her flower gardens. After retiring, she volunteered at the Golden Age Center. She loved traveling; her travels took across the United States and all over the world, even the Holy Land. She and her sister, Lena were members of a local bowling league for several years. They enjoyed the laughs, the friendly competition and the friendships. She worked at General Electric for 17 years as an inspector. After working as an inspector, she worked at Christian Hospital Northeast as a nurse assistant for 8 years. She was a member of the St. James church of Christ.

Visitation will be 10:30-12 NOON Friday, November 11, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon Friday, November 11, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Huggins officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. James, MO.

Memorial may be given to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
