Gregory Alan Gilmore of St. James passed away Monday January 2, 2012 at his home with his family at his side. He was 63 years 10 months and 28 days of age.

Greg Gilmore was born February 5, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Francis Marion and Maxine Irene (Matlock) Gilmore.

On June 22, 1968, at Hazelwood, Mo., Gregory Gilmore was united in marriage to Donna Lou Modglin. She survives at the family home in St. James.

Greg Gilmore is survived by his beloved wife Donna, of 44 years. His mother Maxine Gilmore of St. James., Son: David Alan Gilmore and his wife Theresa of Troy, one daughter Jeannie Louise Spiller and her husband Jonathon of Troy, Mo. , brother Gerald Wayne Gilmore of Wentzville, Mo., one sister Debora Weidner of Florida. Along with four very special grandchildren Peyton, Erica, Isabella and Jared.

He is preceded in death by his father Francis Marion Gilmore.

Greg Gilmore was in the Machinist Union of over 30 years, mostly working in St. Louis. He moved with his family to St. James in 1999, and enjoyed his fishing and hunting and being with family.

Services
Gregory Gilmore will lie in state at 12 noon Wednesday January 4th 2012 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Jones Funeral Home with Military Honors following the Service.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Fund.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
