Gerald Kenneth Rose Sr. of St. James, Mo passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Gerald Rose Sr. was 80 years, 5 months and 2 days of age.

Gerald Rose Sr. was born on December 11, 1933 in Moscow Mills to his parents Charles Edward and Mildred Louise Colbert Rose. He was united in marriage to Leona Joyce Courtois on August 8, 1957 in St. Louis, Mo. Leona Joyce Rose passed away on June 27, 1973.

Gerald Rose Sr. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a machine operator at the Certene Company in St. Louis for many years. He was an active member of the St. James Christian Church when his health permitted. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerald Rose Sr. is survived by two sons: James Rose of New London, Mo. and Gerald Rose Jr. and wife Lana of St. James, Mo.; two daughters: Joyce Underwood and husband Randy of St. James, Mo.; and Diane Marie Rose of St. James, Mo., one sister Betty Satterfield and husband Sket of St. James along with two grandchildren Allen and Cory Rose of St. James and nieces and nephews.

Preceding Gerald Rose Sr. in death is his wife: Leona Joyce Courtois Rose; parents: Charles Edward and Mildred Louise Colbert Rose and one brother: Edward Leonard Rose.

Services
Visitation for Gerald Rose Sr. will be on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services for Gerald Rose Sr. will be conducted on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo. with Scott Fitch, minister of St. James Christian Church. Pallbearers will be: Allen Rose, Cory Rose, Stan Runyon, Chris Satterfield, Kelly Satterfield, and Doug Daniel. Burial will be in the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo.

Memorials maybe made to the St. James Christian Church in St. James, Mo.
