Obituary

Gary Lee Bullock of St. James, Mo. passed away at his home on Sunday, February 10, 2013. He was 64 years, 8 months and 11 days of age.

Gary Lee Bullock was born on May 30, 1948 to his parents: David Sherman and Esther (Owens) Bullock. Gary Bullock was united in marriage to Debbie Dillon on January 2, 1971 in St. James, Missouri.

Gary Bullock attended Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rolla School of Mines in 1971. Gary and Debbie lived in Illinois for 5 years and Gary was employed as a civil engineer for Peabody coal, Illinois E.P.A. and also Blankenship Engineering. In 1976 Gary moved to St. James and worked for Emmett Dillon in clay mining. He later purchased that business and operated Dillon Clay Mining until his retirement in December of 2012.

Gary was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in St. James. Gary had the spiritual gift of administration and a desire to help people. He used his gift to help people in need. He helped found the St. James Caring Center and served on that board until 2012. He helped organize and worked on mission trips to Belize, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Camp David of the Ozarks. He served on the bank board of Peoples Bank of Cuba and had also served on the board of St. James Golf Course. He helped organize the building of the Recreation Center at Nelson Hart Park. He loved to hunt, fish and golf; ride Harley Davidson motorcycles; and in recent years like to do Cow Boy shooting.

Gary Bullock is survived by his wife of the home: Debbie (Dillon) Bullock; one daughter: Anne Dillon Crousore and husband Josiah of Columbia, Missouri; and one son: Fred Matthew Bullock and wife Amanda of Owensville, Missouri; along with 5 grandchildren: Lucas, Audra, Archer, Colin, and Alexandria., and mother-In-Law: Beda Dillon. Gary will be sadly miss by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding Gary Bullock in death is his father: David Sherman Bullock and father-In-law: Emmett Dillon.

Services
Visitation for Gary Bullock will be from 4 - 8 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Baumann officiating. Burial will be in the Dillon Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the Dillon Cemetery.
