Fred George Krauss Jr. of St. James, Mo. passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home in St. James, Mo. Fred Krauss was 80 years, 6 months, and 24 days of age.

Fred Krauss Jr. was born on July 3, 1934 in St. James, Mo. to his parents: Fred George Krauss Sr. and Thelma Krauss Prebianca. Fred Krauss Jr. was united in marriage to Betty Egbert on January 21, 1956 in St. Claire County, Illinois.

Fred Krauss Jr. served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He worked as a postal carrier for many years. Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Fred Krauss Jr. is survived by his wife of the home: Betty Krauss of St. James, Mo.; Sons: Randall Krauss of Iowa; and Tracy Krauss and wife Stephanie of St. James, Mo.; half-brother: Ronnie Prebianca and wife Karen of St. Louis, Mo.; along with six grandchildren: Dahnyalle Krauss, Sarah Blanc, Lyndsey Krauss, Jordan Krauss, Cooper Krauss, and Brandon Lowe.

Fred Krauss Jr. is preceded in death by his parents: Fred Krauss Sr. and Thelma Krauss Prebianca.

Services
Visitation for Fred Krauss Jr. will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services for Fred Krauss Jr. will be conducted at 11 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 with Pastor Stephen Kampath officiating. Pallbearers will be: Tracy Krauss, Scott Egbert, Deryl Egbert, George Brooks, Bob Chretian, and Andy Anderson; honorary pallbearers will be: Norman Egbert, Jim Ambrose, Rudy Gorman, Cordell Watson, and Al Price. Burial will full military honors will be in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.

Memorials may be made to: Reach Early Childhood Department for Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Heart Association.
