Frank "Stoney" Burke Sr. of St. James, Missouri passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Monday, February 21, 2011. He was 73 years, 3 months and 17 days of age.

Frank Burke Sr. was born in North St. Louis, Missouri on November 4, 1937 to his parents: Durphy and Elna (Staab) Burke. Frank Burke Sr. was united in marriage to Brenda on September 19, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Frank Burke Sr. served his country in the United States Navy starting in1954. Frank Burke retired from the United States Navy in 1975. After his career with the Military, he enjoyed transporting Veterans to the Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Frank Burke Sr. is survived by his wife of the home: Brenda Burke of St. James, Missouri;
two sons: Frank Burke Jr. of the home and Augie Burke and wife Denise of St. James, Missouri; one daughter: Connie Cahill and husband Doug of Vienna, Missouri; one sister: Katherine Hogan of St. Peters, Missouri; five grandchildren: Jacob Cahill and wife Debi; Otto Burke; Nathanial Cahill; Linda Blair and husband James; and Seriae Haney; five great-grandchildren: Sarah Blair; Connor Cahill; Caleb Horn; Chaelin Horn; Elijah Horn.

Preceding Frank Burke Sr. in death are his parents: Durphy and Elna (Staab) Burke; one brother: Floyd Burke; one sister: Joan Talley and step mother: Jean Burke.

Services
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Charles Talley officiating. Pallbearers will be Jacob Cahill; Nathanial Cahill; Doug Cahill; Otto Burke; Charles Honse; and Michael Anderson. Burial will be in the Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery at Waynesville, Missouri.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
