Florence Berneice "Bee" Zinn passed away quietly Monday April 28, 2008 at her son's home in St. James. She was 83 years 3 months and 23 days of age.

"Bee" as she was known to her family and friends, was born January 5, 1925 at Red Bird, Mo., to the late George E. and Lena Cordes Smith.

On August 17, 1946, Bee was united in marriage to Truman Martin Zinn. He entered into rest January 11, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one sister: Nora Johnson of St. James.

Bee is survived by her son Sandy and wife Wanda of St. James and one daughter Susan Zinn of Tulsa, Oklahoma., Brothers: George Smith and his wife Joyce and Leroy Smith and his wife Donna both of St. James; sisters: Ella Mae Cowan of St. James, Mildred Brown and Katherine "Kay" Zweig both of Rolla. Bee is further survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

"Bee" loved her family. She enjoyed going to auctions and collecting antiques. She enjoyed gardening and especially her flowers.

Services
"Bee" Zinn will lie in state from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday April 29, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 30, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Brother Jack Scudder officiating. Music will be provided by Laura Garver Vocalist with Connie Rhea at the organ. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be in the family plot at the St. James Cemetery. Memorials are suggest to the Phelps County Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
