Eva Marie Soper of Cuba formely of St. James passed away Friday December 12, 2008 in Columba, Missouri. She was 56 years 9 months and 5 days of age.

Eva Marie Soper was born March 7, 1952 in St. James the daughter of Oren and Essie (Hanes) Reed. Mrs. Essie Reed entered into rest February 4, 1993.

Eva Marie Soper was united to Alfred Soper. He entered into rest 1987.

She is survived by her father; Oren Reed of St. James, many step-children, brothers: Lawrence Reed and wife Ruby of Cuba, Timothy Reed of St. James and Jay Hanes and wife Beverly of Cuba. Sister-In-Law Dian Reed of St. James., along with nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Essie Reed, Husband; Alfred Soper, and Son; John Reed.

Eva was known for her quiet loving disposition. She was always willing to do anything for anyone. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services
Eva Marie Soper will be in state Sunday December 14, 2008 from noon until time of the funeral.

Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday December 14, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Paul Lathum, Cuba United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
