Eric Vaughn Preiss of St. James, MO passed away July 27, 2021, at his home with his wife at his side. He was 61 years of age.

Eric Preiss was born October 7, 1959 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Thomas and Wilma Reifenberger Preiss. He was united in marriage to his wife, Cynthia Lillian Green. Eric Preiss is survived by his beloved Cynthia, his Children Erica Preiss and wife Tarza, Jared Preiss and wife Hillary, Amanda Huff and husband T.J., Clifton Fite and wife Caley; his Brother Mike Preiss and wife Linda; his Sister Debbie Schreiber and husband Bob; and his precious Grandchild Macyn Huff. Eric loved the great outdoors and all it had to offer, with hunting and fishing. He built his home as close to the Maramec Spring as he could. His love of the outdoors was evident by the trophies he proudly displayed in his home. He was a retired supervisor from Goedecke Construction in St. Louis. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Wyldan Fite. Memorial Service for Eric Vaughn Preiss will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Siteman Cancer Center, Dr. Chheda's Lab, MSC 1204, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105.
