Elaine Skaggs of St. James passed away quietly at her home on Thursday evening August 26, 2010, with her family at her side. She was 94 years of age.

Elaine Skaggs was born August 27, 1916 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Arthur Charles and Elizabeth Klements Holman.

On February 15, 1936, She was united in marriage to William Edwards Skaggs.

Elaine Skaggs is survived by one beloved son: Ed Skaggs and his wife Brenda of St. James; one beloved daughter: Alice Hart and her husband Gene of St. James; along with one dear sister: Alberta Meeham Ginn of Arkansas., dear sister-In-law: Anna Holman, along with 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 8 step-greatgrandchildren.

She is preceaded in death by her parents,her husband of 56 years, who entered into rest October 5, 1992, one son: David Wyman Skaggs; five brothers: John, Dan, Arthur, Sid and George Holman; two sisters: Virginia Kean and Rose Krewson; one dear grand-daughter Tina Skaggs.

Services
Elaine Skaggs will lie in state Sunday from 5-8 pm August 29, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Memorial may be given to Phelps Regional Hospice.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday August 30, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Mick Thrasher, Troy Hart and Glenn Skaggs officiating. Pallbears will be grandsons. Burial will be in the family plot at the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Vichy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
