Earl Edward Dolisi of St. James passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO.  He was 75 years of age. Earl, the son of the late Cecil Earl and Mandy Josephine Woods Dolisi, was born August 1, 1946 in Gardner, KS.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Gillette Jones on July 7, 1999, in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Emporia, KS.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Kyle Edward Dolisi and wife, Kelly of Nixa, MO and granddaughter, McKinley Everly Dolisi; step-son, Eric Jones and wife, Mimi of Fenton, MO and grandsons, Thomas, John, and Philip Jones of Fenton, MO; sister, Carole Ann Dolisi Beaver and husband, Charles of Bella Vista, AR; niece, Julie Leonard and husband Matt of Austin, TX and great nephew, Kendall Leonard of Austin, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Earl earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, KS.  He taught in Wellsville, KS, to begin his career as a teacher.  He then taught math at St. Patrick Catholic School in Rolla, MO, for 19 years and Linn State Technical College in Linn, MO, for 15 years.

Earl enjoyed music and played saxophone with many bands both in Kansas and Missouri, the most recent being the Meramec Music Theater band at Steelville, MO.

Earl will lie in state 6-8 pm Friday, July 29, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Funeral will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home with Father Greg Meystrik officiating.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, August 1, 2022 at Gardner Cemetery, South Poplar Drive, in Gardner, KS, with Father Adam Wilczake officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Gardner High School Class of '64 class funds.
