Dwight Lowry Lyle passed away at home on January 20, 2019, at the age of 75. He was born in Rolla, Missouri on September 2, 1943, to Marcus Lowry Lyle and Grace Virginia (Gabel) Lyle. He wed Brenda Sue Jones in April of 1968 at the First Church of God in Rolla, and together they had a son.

Dwight served in the United States Army from 1964-1967 while stationed in Germany as a M35 motor transport operator. He retired from University of Missouri-Rolla, now Missouri S&T, after 30 years of service in the printing department.

Dwight enjoyed gardening, fishing, attending local classic car cruises, and dog sitting for anyone who would ask. He was a very supportive, caring individual who always made himself available to those in need and enjoyed helping others.

Dwight will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his wife, Brenda; son, Scott Lyle (Heidi) of Rolla; and sister, Donna Lou Lyle of Kansas City; as well as other extended family members, many dear friends, and his grand dogs Pumpkin and Snickers.

Visitation for Dwight Lyle will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral services will be conducted at  11:00 A.M. Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James with Dan Phillips officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in the St. James Cemetery. Pallbears will be Mark Doyle, Garrett Gabel, Don Hughes, Walker Jones,Jason Nixon and Larry Romine. Memorials may be given to the Rolla Animal Shelter, and cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home.
