Dorothy May Morris of St. James passed away Friday January 18, 2008 at the Golden Living Center of St. James. She was 84 years of age.
Dorothy was born July 6, 1923 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Henry John and Augusta (Bunda) Klasener.
On August 7th 1943 in St. Louis, Dorothy was united in marriage to James E. Morris. He entered into rest OCtober 8, 1981.
Dorothy is survived by one sister Virginia (Klasener) Burnett of St. James along with nieces Deborah Parton and her husband Bruce of St. James, Leslie Foley and husband Pat, along with nieces, nephews and cousins from the Bunda and Klasener families and nephew Marc Burnett and wife Debra.
Dorothy was exective secretary for Wohl Shoe Co for over 25 years. She was very devoted to the Tr-County Humane Society. Dorothy had a terrific sence of humor until the day she died. She kept all around her in stitches with her one-liners. SHe was a member of the Sunflower Senior Citizens Club of St. Louis.
Services
Services were held at 11:00 am Sunday January 20, 2007 in the Rose Chapel of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James. Burial was in the St. James Cemetery. Memorial are requested to the St. James Humane Society, P.O.Box 23 St. James.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
