Obituary

Doris Jean (Byrd) Bohrer passed away at her home on, Thursday, August 11, 2011, in St. James, Mo. Doris Bohrer was 78 years, 2 months and 7 days of age.

Doris Bohrer was born in St. James, Missouri on June 4, 1933 to her parents: Lawrence Edward Sr. and Mayme Elizabeth (Stricker) Byrd. On February 10, 1951 Doris Byrd was united in marriage to William Charles Bohrer Jr. in Piggott, Arkansas.

Doris Bohrer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother; and great-grandmother. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Doris Bohrer is survived by three daughters: Deborah Sue Bridges and husband Randy of Las Vegas, Nevada; Donna Marie Parker and husband Steven of Hendrix, Oklahoma; and Lisa Ann Carter of St. James, Mo.; two brothers: Lawrence Edward "Bud" Byrd of St. James, Mo.; William James Byrd and wife Myrna of St. James, Mo.; and two sisters: Shirley Tabor and husband Cordell "Korky" of St. James, Mo.; and Barbara Ann Warner of St. James, Mo.; along with 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Doris Bohrer in death is her parents:Lawrence Edward Sr. and Mayme Elizabeth (Stricker) Byrd Bohrer, husband: William Charles Bohrer Jr. on June 22, 2010; one son-in-law: Donald Carter; one brother: Charles Henry ; and one sister-in-law: Geraldine Byrd.

Services
Visitation for Doris Bohrer will be from 5 - 7 P. M. on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services for Doris Bohrer will be conducted at 10 A. M. on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo. with Ed Plants and Jerry Baumann officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.

Memorials may be given to the: American Heart Association. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
