Donald Lavern Moreland of St. James, Missouri passed away at his home on Saturday, August 17, 2024 with his family at his side. He was 68 years of age.

Donald Moreland, the son of the late Herman L. and Dorothy M. Martin Moreland, was born May 18, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Donald was united in marriage to Bonnie Kisslinger on March 6, 1977 in St. James, Mo.

Donald Moreland is survived by his wife, Bonnie Moreland of St. James, Missouri; sons, Michael Alan Moreland (Dawn Renae Lahman) of Rising Sun, Ohio and Daniel Brian Moreland (Myah Renae Jones) of Cuba, Missouri; daughters, Rebecca Bequette (Richard) of Rolla, Missouri and Misty Dawn Moreland (Steve Kagley) of St. James, Missouri; sisters: Vida Lynn Hufendick of Pacific, Missouri; Tammy Moreland of Pacific, Missouri; Pammy Kisslinger of St. James, Missouri; and Janet Jones of Pacific, Missouri. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Daniel Brian Moreland, Dakota Blake Bequette, Dalton James Bequette, Steven Austin Kagley, Katelynn Marie Moreland, and Lane Austin Moreland; one great grandchild, Oliver James Nickelson; and one soon to be great grandchild, Wendy Jane Moreland. He is further survived by with other family, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Delmon Moreland, brothers-In Law; Al Hufendick and Danny Kisslinger; nephews, Robert Leon Jones, Jr. and Brian Gutermuth; and niece, Ashley Kisslinger.

Donald Moreland was all about his family. He loved playing practical jokes, being the clown of the crowd, and being very comical. Everyone loved him, and everyone respected him. Donald was full of life. When you entered the room, you would know always know where Donald was; he was telling jokes and enjoying being around people. He also loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish; he shared many stories of his adventures. He worked for Copeland Bus for 15 years. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Donald Moreland will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday August 19, 2024 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Monday August 19, 2024 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Chaplin Richard from Three Rivers Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, Donald requested that those who attend his service bring a canned good that the family will donate.
