Donald Wayne Lindsey of St. James passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011. Donald Lindsey was 81 years, 3 months, and 7 days of age.

Donald Lindsey was born on July 21, 1930 in Desloge, Missouri to his parents: Jewell C. and Blance Ruby (Downs) Lindsey.

Donnie was placed in foster care as a young child during the depression and was raised by Creth and Eva Mitchum who resided in St. James, Missouri. Donnie was a U. S. Navy veteran and made his career as a school teacher from which he retired.

Donald Lindsey is survived by his wife: Ruth Lindsey of St. James, Mo.; step-mother: Ann Townsend, five half-sisters and four half-brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Donald Lindsey in death are his parents: Jewell C. and Blance Ruby (Downs) Lindsey; brothers: Steve, Francis, Ralph, and Jean Lindsey; and an infant sister Ruby, and half-sister Joanne Bloom.

Services
Memorial service for Donald Lindsey will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 with Jerry Baumann officiating with Stephen Brubaker the vocalist. Military honors will be held after the sevice at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
