Donald Lee King of St. James, Missouri passed away suddenly at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Sunday, February 24, 2008. He was 69 years, 6 months, and 9 days of age.
Donald was born on August 16, 1938 to his parents Lea Emerery and Elvy Lucille (Bailey) King. He was united in marriage to Doris Jean Sanders on October 1, 1981 in Levelland, Texas.
Donald worked for the Delta Airlines for 31 years as Senior Customer Agent. He graduated from Steelville, Missouri High School. Donald loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and especially working around his farm. He was a Master Mason having joined the Masonic Lodge in St. Louis, Mo., many years ago. Donald served his country in the Korean Conflict in the Air Force.
Donald is survived by his dear wife of the home: Doris Jean King of St. James, Missouri; one daughter: Andrea Weicht of the state of Kentucy; two sons: Daniel Adams and wife Lisa of Hereford, Arizona; and Gene Adams and wife Deanna of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother: Phillip King and wife Alta of Windfield, Missouri; one sister: Rosie King and husband Dan of Cook Station, Missouri; one brother-in-law Jody Sanders of St. James, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding Donald in death are his parents: Lea Emerey and Elvy Lucille (Bailey) King; one infant son; one brother: Ronnie Ryther; one sister: Marlene Ray Wall and Ronald and Emma Ryther who raised Donald.
Services
Visitation for Donald will be on Thursday, February 28. 2008 from 4 - 8 pm at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 11 am at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Reverend Mick Thrasher officiating. Pallbearers will be Dan King; Dave Pearce; Rickie Ryther; Joe Stele; Ed Pearson; and Jody Sanders. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
