Donald Gene John of Jerome, Mo., passed away at his home June 11, 2009. He was 79 years of age.

Donald John was born September 12, 1929 at Broadway, Mo., the son of the late Travis E. and Grace l. Manhenke.

Donald was united in marriage to Wanda Seymore in 1951, to Glenda Mayer in 1965, and to Debra Dahalman July 15, 1991.

Daughters: Lana Smith and husband Frank Jr of Tibbetts, Mo.; Kelly Marie Mead & husband Richard of Huntington Beach, CA; Tessie John and Michelle Ayale of La Mirada, CA; Dineen Ruiz and husband Lorenzo of Whittier, CA; Berna Bray and Husband Jeff of Blue Springs,Mo.
Brother: Max John and wife Irene of Vienna, Mo. Along with 24 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Donations may be given to the Alzheimers Association.

Services
Donald John will lie in state Monday, June 15, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Tim Hughes officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the Broadway Memorial Cemetery near St. James, Mo.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
