Donald is survived by one brother: Jim Blackwell and wife Margaret of Springfield, Missouri. Nephews: Todd and wife Jill, Blake Blackwell and Marc Blackwell.

Preceding Donald Blackwell in death are his parents: Leonard and Alma Viola (Lennox) Blackwell.

Visitation for Donald Blackwell was from 6 - 8 PM on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services was conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Jess Rinehart and Steve Helterbrand officiating. Burial was in the family plot in the Oak Grove Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
