Darrell E. Swaim, 80 was born August 12, 1937 in Manhattan, Kansas. His Lord called him home Friday, January 12, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Mo. after a long battle with parkinsons.

Darrell grew up in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School in 1956. Darrell loved life. He married Audrey Williams on June 7, 1959. They enjoyed 58 years together. After 9 years in the Army they made their home in Phelps County. He was a butcher in St. James and then his remaining working years was at UMR in Rolla. Retirement found him and Audrey spending winters in Florida and summers in Missouri. He was a member of High Gate Baptist Church. He loved church and was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

He is survived by his wife Audrey, one sister, nieces, nephews and friends.
