Daniel Timothy "Danny" Malone passed away Saturday July 28, 2007 in St. James, Missouri. He was 58 years, 1 month, and 2 days of age.
Danny was born on June 8, 1949 in Waynesville, Missouri to his parents: James Paul and Velcia C. (Copeland) Malone. He was unite in marriage to Karen Gray on November 30, 1991.
Surviving Danny is his wife of the home: Karen Malone of St. James, Missouri; four daughters: Jacque Scudder of St. James,; Allison Susanne Malone of Springfield, Missouri; Monica Shawn of Mokane, Missouri; and Amanda Malone Pearson and husband Tomie of Vienna, Missouri; five grandchildren: Blacke David, Alexis Malone Emery, Daniel Malone-Pearson, Fineas Howser and Sidney Thomas Pearson V along with a host of other friends and relatives. Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding Danny in death is one brother: Shawn Richard Malone on January 1, 1971.
Danny was a Maintenance Enginer at the Missouri Home for 21 years. He worked at the Nuclear Plant in Reform, Missouri as a Forman and for 7 years he was a construction worker. Danny had a degree in Mechanics from Linn Tech and graducated from the Great Lakes Navel Acadmey. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and served in the Navy where he recieved the National Defense Service Medal and recieved a Meritorious Unit Commendation. He was a machinist Mate on the U.S.S. Allen M. Sumner. In 1969 he was active in the Jordanian Crisis. Danny was proud of his military Career and was very active in his veterans memberships. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign War Life member Post 5608. He was a Military Order of the Coaties. He held the "Honor Degree of the V.F.W. Grape Nuts 56 Life Member. Danny was also was serving as the Commander at the V.F.W. St James Memorial Post July 2005-2007.
Danny was a loving husband, father and grandfather and faithful friend.
Services
Danny Malone will lie in state from 4-8 pm Tuesday July 31, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 1, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Brother Jerry Baumann officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Glenn, Dave Moeslin, George Ashford, Al Kastendieck, Mikey Carlar and Bob Ousley . Burial with full military honors provided by St. James V.F.W. Post 5608, will be in the family plot in the Oak Grove Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
