Damaris Delcita"Dee"
Salisbury
May 19, 1963 — Sep 9, 2026
St. James
"Damaris Delcita “Dee” Salisbury passed away suddenly in Rolla, Missouri, on September 9, 2026, in her husband’s arms. She was born on May 19, 1963, in Panama City, Panama. Her passing brings deep sorrow to those who knew and loved her, while her life remains a lasting testimony of devotion to family, faith, and the quiet gifts of care she shared so generously.
Dee was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who centered her life on caring for her husband and children. She created a home marked by love, diligence, and creativity. An avid seamstress, she was known for making beautiful matching outfits for her children, a reflection of both her skill and the joy she found in caring for her family. She also loved to crochet and made many beautiful blankets for the grandchildren, wrapping them not only in warmth, but in the comfort that came from something handmade with love.
She had a special gift for growing things. In her younger years, Dee enjoyed raising vegetables and had an amazing ability with plants, seeming to know just how much water and attention each one needed. That same nurturing spirit could be seen throughout her life, in the way she tended to the people she loved. Beyond her family, Dee loved her Lord deeply. She loved to sing and to express her faith in praise, using her God-given talents in ways that blessed others and leaving a legacy of faith that she passed along to her children. In later years, she enjoyed traveling back to warmer places, especially to her native Panama and the Cayman Islands. She kept her strong accent throughout her life, and her family will long remember the moments when, if the children tested her patience, she would switch to Spanish—while making it perfectly clear that they still understood exactly what she meant.
Her proudest accomplishments were found in the things she cherished most: her love for her Lord, her husband, and her family. Those who knew Dee will remember her as a woman whose life was rooted in faith, whose hands were always busy caring for others, and whose love was expressed in countless practical and beautiful ways.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Phillip, whom she married on June 6, 1987, in Far Rockaway, New York. She also leaves her children: Phillip Salisbury Jr. and Kamala of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Caleb Salisbury and Priscilla of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Leah Salisbury of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Rachel Basham and Winston of Lotten, Oklahoma; Abigail Harvey and Andre of Columbus, Ohio; and Mary Salisbury and Sebastian of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Joshua Salisbury of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dee is also survived by her brothers, Hernando Grandison Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, and Samuel Grandison of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; her sisters, Debora Browne of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Dilcia Grandison of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her father, Hernando Grandison; and her cherished grandchildren, Cairo, Nova, Luna, Andre Jr, Kenneth, Ayden, Alijah, Levi, Amelia and Evelyn. She will also be deeply missed by her extended friends, family, and church family, all of whom were touched by her warmth, faith, and loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clotilda Grandison (Jackson) and her son, Jared Salisbury.
Visitation will be held on September 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Vichy Campground, Vichy, Missouri, 17411 Maries Rd440, Vichy, Missouri 65580. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m., and will be followed by the burial at Vichy Campground Cemetery.
Damaris Delcita “Dee” Salisbury will be greatly loved and deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the family she nurtured, the faith she shared, the songs she sang, and the many acts of love she stitched, planted, and wrapped into the lives of those around her.
