Dale Eugene Campbell of St. James passed away Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri. He was 75 years of age.

Dale, the son of the late James Edward and Neva Opal (Tucker), was born February 26, 1948 in Newburg, Missouri.

Dale was united in marriage first to Judy Atchison on March 2, 1968; Judy entered into rest on April 3, 2011. He was then married to Gail Bailey on December 4, 2021 at Doolittle, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Gail of St. James, Missouri; daughters: Laura Frayer and husband, Leon of St. James Missouri, Tamara Copeland and husband, Dan of St. James, Missouri, Christy Maus and husband, Cory of Rolla, Missouri, and Amy Mathis and husband, Chad of Newburg, Missouri; stepsons: Jim Hudson and wife, Corie of Wichita, Kansas and Jeff Hudson and wife, Amanda of Doolittle, Missouri; brother, Vernon Campbell and wife, Emmis of St. James; sisters: LeCreta Henson and husband, Richard of Newburg, Missouri and Eula Mae Huskey of Newburg. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death his first wife Judy Campbell, one infant brother and one infant sister.

Dale grew up in Newburg, he graduated from Newburg High School in 1967. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force; he completed Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During his military career, he traveled many states and foreign lands. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Upon leaving the Air Force, he was employed in the Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for over 19 years.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed celebrating holidays and special events with his family. His grandchildren were near and dear to his heart; he spent many hours watching them participate in sports events, concerts and church activities. He was a member of the first Assembly of God Church in Newburg, Missouri.

Visitation will be 2-4 PM Friday, May 19, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home with Dave Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be Leon Frayer, Chad Mathis, Logan Mathis, Dan Copeland, Jim Hudson, Jeff Hudson, Paxton Maus, and Cory Maus. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at St. James Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church in Newburg, Missouri.
